About Us

Areté Youth Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization supporting promising youth who are limited by social and economic barriers. We focus on providing disadvantaged youth with the opportunity to excel in education, leadership development, and diversity training. We concentrate on two areas:

Youth leadership camps

We invest in camps that seek to have a life-changing impact in youth – camps that identify budding leaders and empower them with skills and confidence to move their lives forward and improve their communities. Currently we are supporting Camp GLOW (Girls Leading Our World) and Forward Together, a camp for Roma.

Direct student sponsorship

We believe that one of the most tragic opportunities lost is when a capable youth is unable to attend university because of financial reasons. Our scholarships are designed to reward those who have been successful in the classroom but face a financial barrier to obtaining higher education. Currently, we identify candidates through our leadership camps. Candidates are required to submit detailed information concerning their financial situation, their financial requirements for the school year, and their educational and career goals. Our director of scholarships works closely with each candidate during this process and throughout the school year to ensure success. We are in the process of developing this program.
